Class type:Forrest Yoga 1
Class description:This dynamic practice follows the tradition developed by Ana Forrest. It is an intensely physical and internally focused practice guided by the use of breath and core exercises. Specific techniques for sequencing are used to build flexibility, strength and integrity, encouraging students to find a deeper physical and emotional connection. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. This class is conducted in a slightly heated room. Suitable for students with some yoga experience looking to have an invigorating and dynamic experience. No full inversions are included in these classes. Some preparations for inversions and Level 2 postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to ease the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 classes.

Bernadette
Bernadette's yoga journey started on an airplane while travelling to Thailand, where she cast her eyes on Vrksasana (Tree pose) being held on the edge of a cliff in a magazine. This awe-inspiring vision prompted her to set foot onto a path of holistic wellness... into the world of yoga. Having crossed paths with many amazing teachers, Bernadette is deeply inspired by Ana Forrest, creator of Forrest Yoga. After becoming a Certified Forrest Yoga teacher, she continues to study with Ana and Sinhee Ye-McCabe, Forrest Yoga Mentor Teacher, and assists Ana in workshops and teacher trainings in Asia.

Emotional healing has always been Bernadette's passion and it is her intention to help students find their own healing. She believes that it is only through awareness of breaths and movement of energy in the body that the beauty of one's inward treasure hunt begins and we are able to walk the journey of self-discovery. Being her own witness of transformation through yoga practice, she feels grateful for what yoga brings.
