Class description:A healing practice done in a mildly heated room. This class focuses on opening the body and soothing the mind through gentle poses and the use of props. Students will experience more seated and supine postures and some longer asana holds. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for anyone looking to stretch their bodies with moderate physical effort.

Rachel was first introduced to spirituality and yoga in Byron Bay, Australia in 1998 where she started to practise meditation and yoga. Her love of travel led her to New York City where she pursued a career in fashion but soon realised that yoga was her passion. She travelled to the heart of yoga in India where she met her first teacher V. Venkitesha - and her life was changed forever.

Rachel completed her first teacher training in 2005 with the Atmavikasa Centre of Yogic Science in Mysore. Since 2015, she has been a devoted student of Patrick Creelman and Rinat Perlman and trained for another 200 hours in the Anusara method with Patrick whilst working as a full-time yoga teacher in Hong Kong. After visiting Shri Dharma Mitra in NYC and completing 50-hour training in wheel yoga, she fell in love with the yoga wheel and is passionate about bringing the joy of the wheel to everybody - which she's been doing through teaching yoga wheel classes and workshops since 2015.

Rachel's style is a fun, strong, dynamic flow with an emphasis on breath awareness and attention to detail and alignment. She energises her students through the practice whilst ensuring they have a well-grounded understanding of the spirit of yoga. Rachel's energetic personality and positive enthusiasm helps her students connect to their practice through mind, body and spirit, encouraging her students to practise yoga on and off the mat. Each class is crafted with her individual students in mind, seeking the most creative ways to share the joy of yoga.
