Class description:A dynamic practice focused on moving the body along with the breath. The experience in this class is one of fluidity and motion. Poses are generally held for short periods of time and emphasis on the rhythm of the breath is encouraged with the purpose of aligning and focusing the mind. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for anyone looking to stretch their bodies with moderate physical effort. The focus of the class is more on stretching and awareness of body-breath synchronicity.

Kay

Kay
Kay has been a travelling yogi and a hatha yoga teacher since 2012, sharing her experiences with aspirants everywhere. Born and raised in the heart of NYC, she began her yoga practice in 2007. Something about yoga always brought her back on the mat. It was a place where she found peace and tranquillity regardless of what was happening in her life. After studying in the West, Kay started her journey in the East to immerse deeply in yoga along with the intention to serve, love and give back to the community.

A big part of Kay's teachings comes from the year she spent living in an ashram under a Gurukula system. She followed a strict and disciplined yogic lifestyle where she selflessly taught yoga and assisted in teacher training programmes. Not only did that deepen her knowledge in traditional hatha yoga, but it also helped her develop love, patience, and compassion for other beings. Kay has completed training programmes in Sivananda, Dharma, Kripalu, Andiappan, Universal, and Living Yoga Therapy. She has also taken intensive courses in Pranayama, Meditation, Thai Massage, Aerial Yoga, Reiki, and Ayurveda, allowing herself to bring a holistic approach to yoga.

"Health is wealth. Peace of mind is happiness. Yoga shows the way." This quote by Swami Vishnudevananda resonates completely with Kay. With much love and joy, she guides students to flow mindfully through her inspirational classes, bringing together their body, mind and soul. Kay is forever grateful to the teachers who have planted seeds of wisdom in her and to the angels who've shone light on her path. She truly believes that her life's work and greatest passion is to share the gift of Yoga to all.
